PERSONAL TOUR GUIDE & MOTORCOACH

An experienced guide with an in-depth knowledge of local and national history will accompany you on all tours. The Royal Scotsman has its own luxury liveried motorcoach and coach driver for all off-train activities.

SPECIAL DIETS

Special diets can be arranged with the Chef on board - just advise us in advance. There is a fixed menu for each meal, but do request an alternative if the posted menu does not suit you.

CHILDREN

It is regretted that children under the age of 12 years are not permitted on the train.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

We strongly recommend that you arrange suitable coverage at the time of booking for injury, illness, loss of effects or luggage and holiday cancellation.

ALL INCLUSIVE PRICES

All inclusive prices provide outstanding value and are a feature of the Royal Scotsman tours. These include accommodation, table d'hote meals daily, including wine, alcoholic and other beverages, visits, entertainment and crew gratuities - although some guests like to leave the crew a little extra "thank you". So you can lock your wallet away, relax and enjoy the tour.

THE MARCO POLO CLUB

A PRIVATE CLUB FOR ABERCROMBIE & KENT TRAVELLERS

Marco Polo is a travel club designed exclusively for prior travellers with Abercrombie & Kent. Among its membership benefits are a 5% discount on most tours with Abercrombie & Kent International; members also receive an exclusive travel newsletter and may enter the annual photo contest. Additionally, members are eligible to participate in the Club's invitational tours that feature special lecturers and destinations. Three categories of membership are available: Annual, with a three-month waiting period prior to initiating reservations ($75 per adult; Five Year ($200 per adult; and Lifetime ($750 per adult. THE ROYAL SCOTSMAN BOOKING CONDITIONS 200

1. YOUR TOUR PRICE INCLUDES

a) State cabin with twin or single accommodation and private ensuite shower and toilet facilities.

b) Table d'hote meals daily, including wine and all alcoholic and other beverages.

c) All applicable taxes.

d) All sightseeing excursions as shown in the itineraries.

e) Gratuities for crew members.

2. YOUR TOUR PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE

Travel insurance - it is highly recommended that you insure yourself prior to departure for injury, illness, loss of property while on the tour and specifically for trip cancellation (see 4 below). Check with your Signature Travel agent.(215-483-3080)

3. TOUR PAYMENT

A deposit of 33% of the tour price is required at the tithe of booking. The remainder of the cost of your tour is due 60 days prior to departure. If your reservation is made within GO days of departure, the entire cost of the tour must be paid at the time of confirmation.

4. TRIP CANCELLATION

a) Cancellations received more than GO days prior to departure will be subject to a $150 per person cancellation charge. Cancellations by guests received GO days or less prior to departure will be subject to the following forfeit of cost per tour:

60-31 days, 33% of tour cost

30 days or less, 100 % of tour cost

Traveller's insurance is strongly recommended.

b) In the unlikely event that it is necessary for GS&WR (rail car operator)to cancel a tour or to make a major change to a confirmed tour (and a major change is a change to the departure date, or a change to departure time of more than 12 hours), GS&WR will tell guests as soon as practicably possible before departure. Guests will then have the choice of accepting the major change with such alternative arrangements for the tour and appropriate compensation (up to 10% of the tour price) as GS&WR shall offer, or choosing an alternative departure date for the tour, or withdrawing from the contract and accepting a full refund of all monies paid.

c) Other than major changes as above, GS&WR reserves the right to make changes in routings, visits and tour tunings at any tithe, and although guests will, if practicable, be advised of any such changes before departure, GS&WR is not obliged to advise guests or to pay them compensation.

d) GS&WR can cancel a tour more than 60 days before departure where the minimum number of 20 bookings required for a tour has not been met. Guests will then have the choice of accepting an alternative departure date for the tour, or withdrawing froth the contract and accepting a full refund of all monies paid.

e) If guests' arrangements for onward travel after the end of the tour are disrupted due to a delay of more than one hour in the scheduled finish time of the tour, GS&WR will use all reasonable endeavors to facilitate guests' onward travel arrangements.

5. REFUNDS FOR MISSED DAYS

There will be no refunds for days missed on any tour.

6. ARRANGEMENTS

The tour price includes all planning, handling and US$ operational charges and is quoted on the rate of exchange as of July 2000. The Great Scottish & Western Railway Company Ltd. reserves the right to adjust without notice any prices not in UK$ to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets or all prices to reflect changes in government taxation.

7. RESPONSIBILITY

Abercrombie & Kent International, Inc. is an Illinois corporation based in Oak Brook, Illinois. It purchases transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurant and other services from various independent suppliers (including, but not limited to, other Abercrombie & Kent companies) that are not subject to its control. ABERCROMBIE & KENT INTERNATIONAL, INC. CANNOT, THEREFORE, BE LIABLE FOIL DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY OTHER LOSS that may occur (1) due to any act or omission of any such supplier, (2) by reason of any other event over which it has no control.

ABERCROMBIE & KENT INTERNATIONAL, INC. reserves the right to adjust U.S. Dollar prices without notice, to reflect fluctuations) in the Foreign Exchange Markets. ABERCROMBIE & KENT reserves the right to cancel any itinerary or any part of it, to make such alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary or desirable, to refuse to accept or retain as a member of any tour any person at any time, and to pass on to tour members any expenditures or losses caused by delays or events beyond its control.

All Royal Scotsman bookings are accepted by ABERCROMBIE & KENT as agent for The Great Scottish & Western Railway Company Ltd., and are subject to the Booking Conditions of The Great Scottish & Western Railway Company Ltd., a copy of whose Booking Conditions are available at our office.

8. USTOA MEMBER

ABERCROMBIE & KENT INTERNATIONAL, INC., as an Active Member of the United States Tour Operators Association ("USTOA"), is required to post $1Million with USTOA to be used to reimburse, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the USTOA Consumer Protection Plan, the advance payments of Abercrombie & Kent customers in the unlikely event of A&K's bankruptcy or insolvency.
