We strongly suggest baggage insurance. | On international flights in and out of the U.S., your checked baggage is limited to 2 pieces per person. For flights entirely outside the U.S., the limit is usually 44 lbs. per person. Exceptions may apply on more remote routings. Carry-on baggage is strictly limited and you are encouraged to check on such restrictions with airlines prior to departure. A&K is not responsible for luggage lost or damaged by airlines or independent tour operators handling transfer arrangements. | For all programs, your reservation must be accompanied by a deposit of 30% of the tour price at the time of booking. Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. | Abercrombie & Kent International, Inc. purchases transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurant and other services from various independent suppliers who are not affiliated with Abercrombie & Kent in any way. Although it tries to choose the best suppliers available, Abercrombie & Kent has no right to control their operations and cannot, therefore, be liable for any personal injury or property damage which may occur due to (1) wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts or omissions on the part of a supplier, its employees and others not under the direct control of Abercrombie & Kent, or (2) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment or instrumentality under the control of independent suppliers. Abercrombie & Kent International, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any itinerary or any part of it, to make such alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary or desirable, to refuse to accept or retain as a member of any tour any person at anytime, and to pass on to tour members any expenditure occasioned by delays or events beyond its control. Abercrombie & Kent reserves the right to adjust its rates. On advancement of deposit to Abercrombie & Kent, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions found here. | Cancellations and Refunds | ||

| 119-80 days prior to departure, 10% of tour price; | ||
| 79-60 days prior to departure, 30% of tour price; | ||
| 59-45 days prior to departure, 75% of tour price; | ||
| 44 days or less prior to departure, 100% of tour price | ||
| Termination of an expedition in progress for any reason will not necessarily result in a refund, and no refimd will be made for partially used portions of air tickets or land arrangements. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. | ||

Every effort will be made to follow the published itineraries, but please note that they are subject to change at the discretion of A&K and the Explorer crew. Conditions on the Amazon vary from week to week according to the season, weather, water levels and other local circumstances, and these conditions may affect itinerary length and stops. | Quoted tour prices include planning, handling and operational charges, and are quoted on the current rate of exchange and tariff as of May, 1996.
