Six days, The Northern Territory
With thirty-four years experience in organizing African safaris, we couldn't resist the challenge of developing a similar outdoor experience in Outback Australia. Our Bush Camp is located in the "Top End," Australia's Northern Territory, in the senic wilderness of Kakadu national Park. This very comfortable camp operates between mid-April and mid-October only, with a maximum of six guests at any one time. There are no predatory animals in Australia, and nights in the Far North are warm and still.
For those who don't mind the loss of a few latter-day luxuries, the rewards of the Outback are immense - and one of those rewards is the time you spend with escort Earl Gano. During his seven-year tenure as a ranger with the Northern Territory Conservation Commission, earl worked with local Aborigines to catalog their traditional ceremonial sites, a record now lodged in secret archives in Darwin and Canberra. His knowledge of these sites is unique, otherwise available only to anthropologists able to obtain a special permit. As a specialist guide, film and television consultant and naturalist, earl shares his unique point of view with his clients, for an experience impossible to obtain from any other source.
