Drive to White Castle for a tour of Nottoway, largest plantation home in the South. Stop for lunch in Baton Rouge then continue to Aiexandria. Built in 1908 by Joseph A. Natchitoches

Sunday Dec. 22 BLD Enjoy a morning tour of Alexandria and have lunch at the hotel. This afternoon, visit St. Augustine Church and Melrose Plantation then continue to Natchitoches, the oldest town in Louisiana. "Steel Magnolias" was filmed here, so the town may look familiar. It's a short trip to Cheneyville for lunch at Loyd Hall, an antebellum home on a restored working plantation in continuous operation since 1800.
