San Antonio's 300-year history has been shaped by Spanish conquistadors, Mexican immigrants, Southern Plains Indians and missionaries from Europe. Discover its colorful past at the Alamo. Attend the IMAX theater performance of "Alamo - The Price of Freedom." This afternoon see the fine French Impressionist collection on display at the McNay Art Museum, former home of artist Marian Koogler McNay.

New Braunfels a Christmas Pagaent

Sunday Dec. 22 BL

Visit the Institute of Texan Cultures then depart for New Braunfels, a German settlement from 1845. Visit the Sophienburg Museum and the Hummel Museum. Lunch featuyes traditional German fare. Tonight, you have tickets for the unique water performance of the Riverside Christmas Pageant. Five barges feature vignettes of the Christmas story depicting the journey to Bethlehem and the birth of the Christ Child.

Mission San lose Mexican Market

Monday Dec. 23 BD

Built in 1720, Mission San Jose is known as the "Queen of the Missions" because it was the most beautiful, most prosperous and best fortified of all Texas missions. Have time to stroll and shop the Mexican Market, bustling with holiday activity. Visit the San Fernando Cathedral before returning to the hotel. Enjoy an evening river cruise to view the holiday decorations and dinner at the Plaza Club.

Y.O. Ranch Chuck wagon lunch

Tuesday Dec. 24 BLD

Today finds you at the Y.O. Ranch where you'll see famous Texas Longhorn cattle as well as exotic big game animals from Africa. After a tour of the ranch, gather 'round for a filling chuck wagon lunch - a perfect way to complete your ranching experience. Return to San Antonio for Christmas Eve dinner.

Christmas Day

Wednesday Dec. 25 BLD

Feliz Navidad! The morning is free to attend church services, take advantage of the hotel's amenities or simply relax. An eggnog reception, accompanied by entertainment, will be held late this afternoon. Join your tour manager and fellow travelers this evening for a special farewell Christmas dinner party complete with roasted Tom Turkey.
